Barbara McGrow: This was received yesterday from Kurt Lewis's step daughter: Kurt Unit 309 was a member of our Board of Directors.
I quote:
"Yesterday
we lost a great man. Even though Kurt wasn't my blood dad he was my dad
he helped raise me with my mom for over 30 years. Dad and I fought like
a dad and daughter should we laughed, cried and man the talks we used
to have about anything and everything. He trusted me with his thoughts
and feelings as I trusted him with all of mine. He was a great papa to
my kids and he loved them as his own. When mom passed we really became
closer than ever I did anything and everything for him I wouldn't have
changed a thing. We grew different in our relationship he just wasn't
dad he was my best friend lunch dates and gossip we talked for hours on
hours. I loved this man with everything I had and I know he loved me
just as much... I will miss him forever my heart is broken again"
